Parish Council response
Fosse Green Energy is a proposal for a new solar and energy storage park and infrastructure to connect into the national grid. The project is anticipated to have a generating capacity of 320MW (Mega Watt) which can generate circa 300 to 360GWh (Gigawatt hours) of energy per year.

We are at the very early stages of developing plans for Fosse Green Energy. The design and layout of the project is subject to refinement and change as we develop our plans and more detailed proposals will be presented at the first stage of consultation planned for this autumn (2023).
It is important to understand that this proposal is so large that it is classified as a national infrastructure project and is dealt with by the Planning Inspectorate, rather that the District or County Council. The six-stage process by which the development will be approved or refused can be found by searching the web for, National Infrastructure Planning Application Process.
The Developers have submited a scoping document to the Planning Inspectorate, outlining the content of the Enviromnent Statement they will prepare.
Local councils have been asked to respond to that scoping document, identifying additional content they would like included.
