An image for the parish magazine

The latest copy of the magazine can be downloaded by clicking here.

The previous five issues of the magazine and the full set of responses to the June 2021 survey can be downloaded by clicking here.

An archive of aerial photographs of Thorpe on the Hill from the 1960s can be seen by clicking here.

The picture shown is a front cover by Victoria Jenkinson; an interpretation of bluebells in Tunman Wood. Tunman Wood is part of the Thorpe on the Hill Stepping Out walking route. See the Parish Amenities page of the website for full details of the walk.

View from the Hill is your local Parish Magazine. The magazine is published six time a year at two monthly intervals. The current Editor is Sylvia Lyons, supported by Steve Jones who does the desk top publishing and Chris Abrahams who is the Treasurer and handles circulation and advertising.

We welcome contributions from residents. These could be about your interests or hobbies, local information or history, or anything you wish to share with other parishioners. Your contribution can be submitted using the email address below. Cut off dates for publication can be found in the current issue.

If you prefer, use the email address to supply your name and a telephone number and a team member will call you to take down the details needed to write up an article. Be assured you will always be asked to approve the final article before it is published.

Because of storage restrictions, the website only holds five back copies of the magazine, covering the previous twelve months.  Back copies from Issue 96, December 2015, are available on request to the email address below.

We are currently exploring the opportunities the new parish website offers us, with links to Google Docs like the ones to a news update page between issues, a collection of previous articles and a collection of aerial photographs of TOTH from the 1960s.

We would welcome suggestions for other possible developments.
